My Declaration of Intent
It was not commercial ambition, nor vanity, that brought me to write the Hearts, Minds and Hands trilogy of enterprise AI transformation. Throughout a career spanning more than 25 years as a management consultant, trainer, and coach, I worked with around 200 enterprises I believe I’ve evidenced my passion.
Rather it is empathy that moved me to develop the Hearts, Minds and Hands storyline of enterprise AI transformation. Empathy for the people whose working lives, livelihoods, and sense of purpose are at stake in how this transformation unfolds. Empathy for the leaders who are being asked to navigate a Rubik’s cube of complexity unlike anything before it.
So it was my absolute intention, when I put metaphorical pen to paper, to serve enterprise leaders and their people in a better transformation of AI at the enterprise level.
My intent is to serve enterprise leaders in approaching AI transformation in a way that maintains and preserves human relevance to work, and that honours human dignity throughout the process. That is the purpose of the Jinji Method. This is the clutch moment for enterprise leadership. My intention is to make leaders feel the weight of it, and to inspire them to want the ball and to help navigate the path.
My intent is to help employees understand that they are not powerless in the face of AI. That there is a Human Point of Difference to be found within them, that needs to be understood, developed, and activated and which will be the source of their relevance and vitality in concert with AI, not against it.
My intent is to broker a renewed sense of mutuality between enterprises and their people through A New Bargain - a re-framing of the psychological contract that underpins the employment relationship, and which will give effect to the changes needed to make the enterprise AI transformation journey strategic, sustainable and humane.
